Sierra Nevada Gold (SNX) is progressing exploration at its Warrior Low Sulphidation Epithermal (LSE) project in Nevada, USA, aiming for refined drill targeting in Q3 2025. Recent geochemical and spectral studies have identified five high-priority targets, confirming two epithermal systems: a low sulphidation system overprinted by a later high sulphidation event. These targets were identified based on white mica crystallinity, chemistry, element associations, and structural context.
SNX has initiated a 500-station gravity survey at Warrior to improve the understanding of major structural features, growth faults, and the depth to the underlying Mesozoic-aged limestone basement. The survey aims to define primary fluid pathways and key graben positions. The Warrior project exhibits characteristics of a large mineral system that has been underexplored. Early drilling programs showed promising results, particularly in the Warrior Mine Trend, a 2km zone open to the northwest and southeast.
Executive Chairman Peter Moore stated that while recent exploration focused on Blackhawk, Warrior continues to be progressed due to its potential to host a large epithermal system. The gravity survey will provide context for mineralization potential, helping to define optimal drill targets later in 2025. The fertile Warrior Mine Trend, bookended by drillholes WARC012 and WARC001, returned significant gold and silver anomalies.
In late 2024, LKI Consulting completed a geochemical and spectral study identifying five distinct lithogeochemical units and targets based on spectral and geochemical vectors from drilling, rock chip, and soil data. A geological mapping and rock chip sampling program is planned for Q2 2025 to map hydrothermal outflow zones and gather additional data within the identified high-priority targets. The collected gravity data will inform the upcoming field work focus, after which SNX plans to drill test targets.
