Nanoveu (ASX: NVU), a Singapore-based technology company, has appointed Scott Smyser as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for its semiconductor technologies division. Smyser, a deep technology expert, brings over 25 years of experience in business development, sales, and go-to-market strategies within the semiconductor, MEMS, photonics, and medical device industries. Nanoveu anticipates Smyser’s expertise will be crucial in positioning its semiconductor division for sustained growth, particularly in high-impact sectors like the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, wearable health technologies, and smart energy systems. His responsibilities will include supporting the company’s commercial objectives following the acquisition of Embedded AI Systems in March.
Smyser’s appointment follows other strategic moves to bolster Nanoveu’s global commercialization efforts, including the recruitment of Mark Goranson as head of the semiconductor division and a research and development partnership with The American University in Cairo. Goranson emphasized that Smyser’s experience in scaling revenues and forming strategic partnerships makes him an ideal fit to lead Nanoveu’s semiconductor growth strategy. Smyser expressed enthusiasm for joining Nanoveu at a pivotal moment, stating his commitment to driving engagement and growth and contributing to the company’s emergence as a technology leader.
