Visionflex Group (ASX: VFX) has entered a $1 million strategic partnership with Amplar Health, Medibank’s health service delivery company, to improve healthcare access for older Australians. The initiative focuses on a pilot project that delivers virtual nursing and personalized clinical care to 30 residential aged care homes (RACHs) across the country. The telehealth rollout, starting in July, will initially cover five sites over 15 months.
The project intends to establish a resilient healthcare framework capable of expanding to more aged care homes, providing essential clinical support where needed most. Telehealth consultations will enable RACH residents to connect with specialist medical services from their residences, supported by care providers or family members. Visionflex provides a comprehensive virtual care solution, integrating hardware and software to enable virtual diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment. The contract includes $750,000 in hardware revenue and $250,000 in software subscriptions through June 2027.
Visionflex CEO Joshua Mundey emphasized that the goal is not to replace face-to-face care, but to extend clinical expertise to RACHs, enhancing care continuity. He believes that with the increasing demand for digital health solutions and telehealth adoption, the virtual care market provides a compelling opportunity to modernize aged care. The Amplar project will prioritize enhancing care delivery in rural and remote areas, including facilities supporting older people of First Nations and culturally diverse backgrounds.
