US sharemarkets were mixed on Wednesday as traders pored over disappointing jobs data ahead of the Thanksgiving Day holiday. The Dow Jones index closed lower by 173 points or 0.6%. The S&P 500 index was down by 0.2% but the Nasdaq index rose.
