Overall, annual wages growth has dropped from around 4 per cent just under a decade ago to a record low 1.9 per cent. US sharemarkets held in tight ranges on Thursday. A raft of major companies such as Intel, Alphabet, Amazon and Microsoft report after the bell on Thursday. Economic data wasn’t too far away from forecasts. After trading in a 70-point range, the Dow Jones ended higher.
