Lodestar Minerals Limited is an active West Australian exploration company focused on the discovery of new gold and copper deposits to deliver shareholder value.

Lodestar’s projects are located in the Capricorn Orogen, a major, under-explored mineralised province within central Western Australia that spans the northern margin of the Archaean Yilgarn Craton (see Figure 1). Lodestar holds a strategic land position of over 1, 500 square kilometres of tenure across the Capricorn Orogen that is prospective for orogenic gold deposits, volcanic-hosted massive sulphide and sediment-hosted copper deposits.

The Capricorn Orogen represents a long-lived continental collision zone between the Pilbara and Yilgarn Cratons characterised by deep crustal structures, such as the Jenkin Fault, magmatic activity and the development of extensive volcanosedimentary basins. These features are commonly associated with the formation of major hydrothermal systems and ore deposits.

Lodestar’s exploration at the Brumby–Contessa prospects has resulted in the discovery of gold mineralisation unique to this area related to syenogranite intrusions. This success is the result of a focussed, multi-faceted strategy including on-the-ground geological mapping, multi-element geochemical sampling, advanced airborne and surface geophysical surveys and drilling.

At the core of Lodestar’s values is awareness of the need to maintain low administration and corporate overhead costs to maximise exploration investment and shareholder returns. The Board of Directors of Lodestar all have substantial shareholdings in the Company.
